Would you like to help other children? Do you like to draw? Here's a great way to see your art in print. CASA of
Southwest Missouri is now inviting artists, K through 12th grade, to enter artwork for the 2010 "Helping CASA Help
Kids" Holiday Card contest. Students from all schools (home, private, public, religious) are welcome to submit art.
Each year CASA receives art from hundreds of boys and girls. The top art is chosen to be among the year's featured cards
(usually 10 selections). The cards are printed and sold to the public throughout the Holiday season.
Teachers, this is a wonderful project for your students. And it is very exciting for them to see their art printed and sold publicly.
For the last nine years we have given area students the opportunity to Help CASA Help Kids by using their artwork to create
an exclusive line of holiday cards and note cards. CASA of Southwest Missouri is a non-profit organization that advocates
for abused and neglected children in Southwest Missouri. The proceeds from these sales go to help CASA provide advocate
volunteers for hundreds of the nearly 850 abused and neglected children in foster care in our area.
Thousands of students have submitted their artwork to our annual competition during the past nine years. If your students
have submitted work in the past, thank you! If not, we would love to invite you to send in your students' work to
our 2010 contest!
