Dan Prater
Volunteer Supervisor/Public Affairs Director
It is an honor to work with some of the greatest people in the world – CASA volunteers.
As a staff member, I help these individuals reach out to kids who might otherwise be
forgotten or stuck in the system.
My wife, Edda, and I have lived in Ozark since 1992. We have three sons: Brant, Clayton, and Max.
I have two communication degrees: B.A. from Evangel University, M.A. from Drury University. At CASA,
I use these communication skills by working with volunteers, doing public speaking, editing our monthly
newsletter, overseeing the website, and writing articles and press releases.
I also participate in volunteer recruitment and training.
In my spare time, I teach communication classes at Drury and serve as a volunteer trainer for the
Pregnancy Care Center and Rural Compassion.
It’s great to have a job where I can do what I love and make a positive difference in someone’s life
each day.
