2008 Helping CASA Help Kids Winners Celebrated |
On Thursday, April 24th, the winners of the 2008 “Helping CASA Help Kids” Card Contest were honored in a ceremony at the Randy Bacon Gallery in Springfield. More than 75 students, parents and relatives, teachers, and CASA members attended the event. Winner’s original art was displayed in the gallery, all winners were presented a Gift Certificate, and everyone enjoyed refreshments.
CASA wants to extend our thanks to all teachers and students who participated in this year’s contest. We received around 1,000 submissions from school districts throughout southwest Missouri. We also want to thank Randy and Shannon Bacon for their kindness and generosity in letting us hold this special event at their place. The setting was perfect and helped honor the young children who were chosen this year.
